Description
This is my second kit card, i have learned from my mistakes on the MQ-9 and used that knowledge to make this high quality model.
The Sukhoi Su 27 “flanker” family of jets was designed in the late 70s- early 80s as a soviet response to the United states new forth generation fighters, as well as being a larger complement to the Mig 29 fielded a few years before. The flanker has served with over 20 country's in various variants and has been used in most major wars since the 1980s, Notably in the middle east and Ukraine.
I have modeled this jet meticulously over multiple days and have made many iterations to get it to its present form, the model features a stand for display and (technically but not really) working horizontal stabilizers, I recommend gluing these, they fall out easily. The model doesn't feature any insignia and is a pretty basic color scheme to avoid any political issues. I may release better color schemes/camos, those will not feature insignia as well. the model comes on a sprue and takes a little under 5 hours to print. the model is a tight fit to fit the fuselage together, please comment if this causes issue, I found a deburring tool is the best way to clean up the connectors. I am open to remixes or new camos, please be respectful with these, nothing inappropriate. PLA is fine for this model, i used black, blue-green gradient and blue gray.
