Description

This is a 10-slot case for 3ml peptide vials. I modified the original concept to achieve more compact scaling, saving space in the fridge. I also created a custom insert to keep the vials from rattling or clinking.

I opted for a fully printable design to make it easier to assemble, which eliminates the need for any additional hardware or components that might rust in a humid environment.

Design Details

  • Fits 10 Vials: Sized for 3ml vials (17mm diameter) with caps.
  • No Hardware: The lid snaps into the base. No screws or pins required.
  • Secure Insert: Custom internal layout keeps vials upright.
  • Compact Scaling: Slimmed down to fit easily in side doors or butter compartments.
  • Material: Printed PLA+ so the latch and snap features can flex without breaking. Regular PLA works given the use case, and PETG also works well if you want more flexibility.

Print Settings

  • Filament: PLA+, PLA, or PETG
  • Supports: Tree Supports Used (Should be fine without, just wanted to ensure clean overhangs)
  • Walls: 2 (Tolerances aren’t super tight; all mechanisms work smoothly with little friction)
  • Infill: 15% (Gyroid is my preferred)

Assembly

Once the parts have finished, assemble the top and bottom pieces (line up the open space and ball for the hinges) and push in the insert. The insert is designed to be a tight fit, so it stays locked in place. The snap fit is snug to make sure the case stays together during use.

1. Love that there are no screws 2. Prints perfectly 3. Holds peptides well. I did lower the height on the inside holder to 10mm so that we could see the name of the peptides but other than that… it’s perfect.

any possibility of getting a taller lid for this same size box? so the 10ml could fit. I love the size and option of the insert!

10ml would have a different diameter than the 3ml, so would be a completely different box. truthfully with this design, I prefer the hardware free latch models I’ve been using for the 10ml. but let me know if you really prefer this one and I can add it to the list

Printed great, used TPU Foam for the inserts for a little cushion and added one to the lid as well.

Could you do a 6 slot for a 10ml vial case and a 6 slot for a 20ml vial case?

Thanks for an awesome print with no hardware! is it possible to get one with several 3 ml, and then a couple slots each a 5 ml, 7 ml, 10ml, and the little bit wider 10 ml? Thanks for sharing your work!

let's do six of the 3 ml, two of the 5ml, two 7ml, two 10ml, and two slightly wider 10ml. If that's too many, let me know. My tallest bottle is 2 11/32 inches or 38.5 ml tall. Thank you so much!

cool cool! I’ll play around with some spacing and see how compact of a design this can be made into. I’ll post a model as soon as I get the chance.
