Description

JWA Keycap Set (MX Low-Profile)

A clean, modern keycap profile designed for MX Low-Profile switches and custom mechanical keyboards. The JWA profile features soft rounded corners and a slightly concave top for a comfortable fingertip feel during long typing or gaming sessions. The low height and smooth contour give boards a streamlined, minimalist look while still feeling ergonomic.

Highlights

  • Designed for MX Low-Profile switches
  • Rounded edges + gentle dish for comfort
  • Low-profile silhouette for a modern keyboard aesthetic
  • Great for custom builds, low-profile keycap sets, and minimalist / gaming setups

Important Printing Notes (FDM)

These files were not originally designed with FDM printing as the primary target. I tested multiple slicing approaches, but getting consistently clean results on FDM was challenging without post-processing.

With the setup that worked best for me, I got decent keycaps with one main compromise:

  • You’ll likely need to sand the front edge, where the brim helps hold the part in place during printing.

If you want a “no-sanding” finish, resin printing will typically be easier for this type of geometry and surface quality.

Suggested FDM Approach (what worked best for me)

  • Use a brim for stability (helps prevent lifting / wobble on small parts)
  • Expect to do light sanding on the front edge after removal
  • Print slower / with finer layers if you’re chasing a smoother top surface

(Your exact results will vary depending on filament, cooling, and printer tuning.)
