Dyson V16 Accessory Receiver (Female Friction-Fit)

This is a hand-modeled Female Receiver designed specifically for the Dyson V16. Unlike the original Dyson ports that use complex spring-loaded buttons, this model uses a precision-tapered friction fit to hold your vacuum or accessories securely.

⚠️ Important: Handling & Compatibility

  • V16 Exclusive: This interface is designed for the new V16 connection geometry. It is not compatible with V7, V8, V10, V11, or V15.
  • Friction Fit: This does not click or lock. It holds via "squeeze force."
  • Use Care: Because there is no mechanical stop, do not use excessive force when seating the tool. Pushing it too hard could potentially stress the plastic on your Dyson

🚀 Why I built this

The mechanical "button" style connectors are difficult to print and often fail over time and also I am no 3d modeling expert. I designed this "blank" female port to be:

  1. Print-Friendly: No complex internal springs or tiny moving parts.
  2. Remix-Ready: Use this as a base for custom extension tubes, non-motorized brush adapters, or specialized vacuum nozzles.
  3. Backward compatibility: I need to use v15 accessories, otherwise we are going to die in the pug hair.

🛠️ Design Notes

  • Conic Geometry: The interior is slightly tapered. This allows the vacuum to "wedge" into place for a secure hold.
  • No Power Pins: This model does not include paths for electrical connectors. It is intended for non-motorized accessories only.
  • Material Suggestion: I recommend printing in PETG or ABS for a bit of "flex." PLA may be too brittle for a friction fit and could snap or lose its grip over time.

  • Physical Sales: ALLOWED. You are free to sell 3D-printed versions of this model or your remixes.
  • Digital Files: RESTRICTED. Do not resell or redistribute the digital STL/STEP files.
  • Remixes: Please share your creations! If you use this to make a specialized car tool or a flexible hose adapter, link it back as a remix.
