🏛️ St. Mark’s Basilica – Simple Model

by LP9Engineering | Exclusive 3MF File

This 3D model represents St. Mark’s Basilica, one of the most iconic symbols of Venice and European Byzantine art.
The project was created specifically to participate in a competition, with the aim of combining historical value, formal cleanliness, and maximum printability.

📜 Historical Notes

St. Mark’s Basilica was founded in the 9th century as a place to house the relics of St. Mark the Evangelist, stolen from Alexandria, Egypt. Over the centuries, it became the religious and symbolic heart of the Most Serene Republic of Venice.
Its unique style blends Byzantine, Romanesque, and Gothic elements, recognizable in its famous five domes, richly decorated facades, and golden mosaics that have made it famous worldwide.

🧩 The 3D Model

This is a Simple Model, designed to:

  • maintain the basilica’s characteristic shapes
  • reduce geometric complexity
  • ensure easy, fast, and reliable printing

The level of detail is intentionally essential, making the model ideal as both a decorative object and an architectural model, as well as for those who want a clean result without the need for complex supports.

🖨️ 3D Printing

  • ✔️ Very easy to print
  • ✔️ No critical geometries
  • ✔️ Perfect even for entry-level FDM printers
  • ✔️ Excellent results even with standard layer height

PLA is recommended, but the model also lends itself well to PETG or ABS for those who desire greater strength.
