I love the sea. I love tropical beaches. And how could I not love pirates disembarking from a Benchy boat?!

Embark on an adventure with 'The Pirate Benchy Bay' - the perfect blend of the tranquility of a tropical beach and the excitement of the mysterious world of pirates.

This charming catch all tray is more than just a desk accessory; it's an experience that transports your mind to the endless blue of the ocean, or at least I hope 🙂

The two assemblable palm trees stand tall as guardians of the bay, while the pirate flag flutters in the air, promising adventures and hidden treasures among the rocks. And what about our adventurous Benchy, stranded on the beach like a veteran of the seven seas, ready to share his tales of courage and conquest?

Prepare to hoist the sails of your imagination to explore the depths of an epic adventure.

Yarr!

PRINT

Printing everything is simple and requires no special attention or support (excluding the Leaf Holder Top, which is a small piece).

If you have an AMS, printing the pirate flag is a breeze, but if you don't, don't worry, I've also got you covered, and you can print it in relief.

You can use the common resolution of .20mm for everything, maybe increase it to .16mm for the flag.

And how do I get that sandy effect on the base? It's not modeled, I just used the Fuzzy Skin method on Bambu Studio, so you can easily remove or adjust it as you want.

ASSEMBLY

Assembly requires nothing more than the printed parts; glue is not necessary.

Some tips:

To curve the palm leaves (I recommend it for a better look), you can use two methods:

  1. Place them on the heated bed at about 60 degrees and take them while still warm, so you can give them their curved shape.
  2. Use a hot air gun.

The same goes for the pirate flag, to give it a "blowing in the wind" effect.

For the palms, you'll see it's simple; stack each trunk piece on top of the other and set it aside.

Now assemble the top part with the leaves; start by taking the Leaves Holder Base piece and insert 3 leaves, skipping a hole each time. Place the Leaf Holder Top piece on top and insert the last 3 leaves. Close it all with the Palm Cap.

Choose the type of leaves to use; there are 3 different types, and for the height of the palm, insert more or fewer trunk pieces.

Finally, insert the flag into the Flagpole and insert everything into the base.

Your Pirate Benchy Bay is ready!
