I feel like the bottom layer could be one layer thicker. there seems to be frequent issues right in the middle.

Hello :) Thank you for sharing the cookie cutters, they turned out great, nice without too many details that dough can get stuck in. In this regard, my daughter was asking if it would be possible to add an element that would allow lifting the stamp after pressing the dough to leave an imprint? This seems possible, it would not compromise the basic design. I envision a "finger" with a dovetail (that's the idea) at one end that could be put in place when making the cut. This system should not alter the model too much, nor harm the print quality. Thanks again for sharing :) Papoow :)
