The perfect settings for the ugly Z-seam

We have probably all been annoyed by the Z-seam at some point. We just printed a beautiful round object and everything is perfect. Except for the Z-seam!

For most objects, the Z-seam can be easily hidden in edges or corners, but for round objects without edges, this is virtually impossible

That's why I experimented a bit with the diagonal seam settings in Bambu Studio and uploaded a good basis (for further tests) here

It is already much better than with the standard Z-seam settings (as seen in the pictures). Both the appearance and the fitting accuracy have been optimized, and with these settings, you can already achieve very good results, but you can, of course, always optimize something

Furthermore, I deliberately adjusted the settings not in the filament profiles but generally in the print profile, because otherwise, you would have to transfer the settings for all filaments. This way, you can save it once in the print profile and always have it

This print profile is intended to be downloaded and the settings saved so that they can be used for later projects

I hope I have helped you with these settings and that you no longer have to worry about the Z-seam with every round print   :-)

The cone is actually intended as a board game piece (e.g. for Ludo). I used it here because it is very well suited as a test model and you can clearly see how much this setting helps
