English Version:
Universal Component Connector (Pin & Slot System)
Description: This universal connector allows you to firmly join two parts using a slot and a separately printed pin. The connection is stable but can be easily released and disassembled if needed. Perfect for modular projects!
📂 File Contents: The .3mf file contains 3 different pin variations to cover different printer tolerances:
- Standard: 0.0mm tolerance
- Loose: -0.1mm (fits looser)
- Tight: +0.1mm (fits tighter)
⚙️ Instructions & Tolerance Test: Since every printer is calibrated slightly differently, please print the test file first to check which pin fits best for your setup.
🛠 How to use in your own projects: To use this connector in your own designs:
- Export the negative volume (cutout object) and the matching pin as STLs.
- Import the negative volume into your CAD software or directly into your slicer.
- Place the negative volume at the desired connection point and perform a boolean operation (subtract/cut). (Note: You can often import it directly as a "Negative Part" in your slicer.)
- Important: Please make sure to apply the print settings (Ironing/Top surface smoothing, Seam position on the pin, etc.) exactly as set in the example file to ensure maximum stability and a smooth fit.
Have fun with this little model!
If you have any remarks or suggestions, I would be happy to receive a comment and a rating.
