Parametric Silicone Mold Walls with Alignment
Print Profile(1)

Description
This project is an OpenSCAD parametric design to generate modular walls for building silicone (or resin) molds. Customize everything in the OpenSCAD Customizer and export your own STLs.
Modes (selectable):
- Straight wall
- Corner (90°)
- U-Shape (3 walls)
Customizable parameters (in OpenSCAD):
- length_x (inner length)
- length_y (Corner/U only — inner length)
- wall_thickness
- height
✅ Important: length_x / length_y are always the INNER cavity dimensions. Increasing wall thickness grows outward, so the inner size stays exactly what you set.
Features:
- End flanges for rigidity and easy clamping
- Alignment system: one side has a male pin and the opposite side a female slot to register parts cleanly
- Bottom base lip for stability and better sealing
Assembly (important):
- The walls are meant to be held together using clips (binder clips or small clamps).
- Use adhesive tape to fix the master part/model (the piece you are molding) to the base, so it doesn’t move or float while pouring silicone/resin.
(Tape can also help with sealing, but the main wall fixation is done with clips.)
Included files:
- Pre-exported STLs (30 / 50 / 70 mm) + a ready-to-print 3MF for A1 mini
- The .scad file so you can generate any size you need
Print tips:
0.2 mm layer height, 3–4 walls. If the pin/slot is tight, lightly sand or apply a small XY scale.
