Description

Model description

This 3D‑printed ventilation adapter is designed to integrate a 3D‑printer exhaust into an existing DN110 ventilation line via a DN110 T‑junction fitting. The adapter uses a 90° internal flow path so air is guided only toward the outside outlet, which reduces the risk of backflow and makes an additional upstream backflow damper unnecessary for typical setups.

I print the part in PLA, which I think should be sufficient for the use case, and will provide better printing quality of the elbow.

Interfaces and fit

  • Outer diameter (OD): 110 mm for insertion into a DN110 pipe (slip-fit style).
  • Inner diameter (ID): 100 mm to accept a standard 100 mm ventilation fan (fan insert/mount inside the adapter).

Functional intent

  • Integrates into an existing DN110 duct/pipe system (e.g., using a DN110 T‑junction).
  • 90° geometry directs exhaust air outward only, acting as a passive anti-backflow measure through flow routing rather than a separate flap/valve.

Key dimensions (as provided)

  • OD: 110 mm.
  • ID: 100 mm (fan compatible).
  • Geometry: 90° bend / elbow path.
