Description

This model recreates the classic Genie Online Services logo, inspired by early personal computing and the dial-up era of online platforms. Genie (General Electric Network for Information Exchange) was one of the pioneering online services of the 1980s–1990s, and this piece is a small tribute to that history.

The design features the iconic multicolor swoosh elements above the original GEnie wordmark, making it a great desk display, wall piece, or nostalgic accent for retro tech enthusiasts.

This was my first original creation and was designed with clean lines and simple geometry to make it approachable for printers of all experience levels.

Designed to print cleanly and display proudly, this model celebrates a formative era of online computing.

Print Notes

  • Designed for PLA
  • Multicolor printing works great with AMS/MMU but can also be printed as a single color
  • Set to print by object to reduce filament waste
  • No supports required
  • Prints well at standard layer heights (0.2 mm recommended)
  • Flat orientation on the build plate
  • For best visual results, a dark build plate or black filament helps the colors pop
