Description
š± Innioasis Y1 Hardcase | Precision Protective Shell
Give your Innioasis Y1 the rugged protection it deserves! This two-part slide-on hardcase is specifically engineered for a precise, "glove-like" fit. Designed to mimic the iconic look of classic MP3 player accessories, this PLA-optimized shell provides a rigid barrier against drops and scratches while maintaining a slim, pocketable profile.
š”ļø Rugged Features
- Snap-Fit Security: A sleek two-piece design (Top & Bottom) that slides onto the device. Itās engineered to fit snugly so it won't slide off accidentally, but remains removable for cleaning.
- Precision Cutouts: Dedicated access for the USB-C charging port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and speaker grills, ensuring 100% functionality without ever removing the case.
- PLA Optimized: While TPU is great for grip, this Hardcase version is designed for the rigidity of PLA or PETG, offering a solid "armor" feel that protects the Y1ās screen and body from impact.
āļø Print Settings & Tips
To get the best fit for your Innioasis Y1, follow these "Pro Maker" recommendations:
- Snug Fit Scaling: Because PLA shrinks slightly, it is highly recommended to scale the model to 101% or 102% in your slicer for a perfect fit.
- Layer Height: Use a 0.12mm or 0.16mm layer height for smooth curves and tight tolerances.
- Support Info: Enable Tree Supports specifically for the port cutouts. Ensure you thoroughly clean out any support remnants from the inside of the case to prevent scratching your device during installation.
- Post-Processing: If the fit is too tight, a quick hit with a hairdryer or a light sanding on the internal rails will help it slide on smoothly.
- NOTE: This model is created to fit quite snug, so in order to account for filament shrinkage you might have to scale the model up to 101 or 102%
Print with .12 layer thickness. enable tree supports. Make sure to clean the inside of the model of all support material/printing defects to have it fit perfectly. After that put the y1 in the top part, and slide the bottom part on.
though you can disassemble the case, it won't happen on accident.
