🛡️ Viking Spirit Bottle Holder – Rustic Design for Your Mead Collection
Bring the flair of the Norsemen directly into your home! This Viking-style bottle holder is the perfect combination of rustic wood optics and detailed metal aesthetics. It was designed to stylishly present your finest drops – be it mead, wine, or other specialties.
The design impresses with its distinctive sickle shape and the ornate cuff, reminiscent of hand-forged Viking armor. An absolute eye-catcher on any shelf or dining table.
📐 Important note on size (scaling)
Since bottle shapes (especially with traditional clay mead bottles or various wine bottles) can vary greatly, it is important that you individually scale the model before printing.
- Standard setting: The model is optimized for common wine bottles (approx. 75-80mm diameter).
- Adjustment: Measure the diameter of your favorite bottle and adjust the size accordingly in your slicer (e.g. Bambu Studio) so that the bottle fits perfectly in the cuff.
🖨️ Printing Recommendations
- Material: For the authentic look, I recommend Wood-PLA (wood filament) for the body and a Silk Silver or Antique Gold PLA for the decorated applications.
- Layer Height: 0.12mm - 0.16mm (for fine details on the embellishments).
- Infill: At least 15-20% (Gyroid) so that the holder has enough self-weight and stability for a full bottle.
- Support Structures: Depending on the orientation in the slicer, minimal supports are needed on the cuff and the tips of the sickles.
✨ Styling Tip
After printing with Wood-PLA, you can treat the holder with a dark wood stain or acrylic paints ("Dry Brushing") to further accentuate the grain and Nordic details.
