Description

Emergency Glasses Frames Repair

I modeled these frames specifically because my mother broke her glasses and needed a quick fix. Please note that this is my very first attempt at 3D modeling something this complex, so while functional, it might not be absolutely perfect!

Printing & Assembly Settings:

  • Material: I used PETG for my final version (better durability), but I also tested it with PLA and it works fine.
  • Lens Fitting: You will likely need to use a heat gun to slightly warm up the frame. This softens the plastic just enough to insert the lenses safely and ensures a perfect fit once cooled.

Credits: I did not design the temples (arms). I used the excellent file provided by Meister Edel. You can find that part here: Hinged Temples for the Ergonomic Glasses Frame

⚠️ DISCLAIMER: These are intended strictly as emergency glasses. They are a temporary DIY solution. Please make sure to consult an optician or doctor to replace your broken eyewear properly.
