Today, I am delighted to present my 3D model of a majestic drinking horn in the style of the noble Rohirrim. Inspired by the legendary riders and their unwavering spirit, this drinking horn brings a piece of the Golden Land directly into your hands and your collection.

Why this Drinking Horn?

• Authentic Rohan Design: Inspired by the aesthetics of Rohan and The Lord of the Rings, with a robust yet elegant shape reminiscent of the horns of the great oxen that once drove their herds through the Westfold.
• Detailed Ornamental Bands: The modeled ornamental band at the top captures the intricate engravings and patterns known from the artifacts of the Rohirrim. It gives the horn a touch of nobility and history.

• Easy to Print: The model is optimized to print well on common FDM printers. I made sure that even beginners with a little patience can achieve a great result.

My Printing Recommendations:

• Material: PLA or PETG for good detail reproduction and stability. For a particularly authentic look, you can also consider material with wood or copper infill, which can be excellently post-processed.
• Layer Height: 0.12mm - 0.16mm for a good balance between detail and print time.
• Infill: 15-20% for a solid structure.
• Support Structure: Yes, especially for the inside of the horn and the ornamental band. Experiment with tree supports here for easier removal.
• Post-processing: Good post-processing with sanding, filling, and painting can make the model look even more realistic. A patina or aging effects can emphasize the "Lord of the Rings" character.
