Extendable Katana Set - One-Hand & Two-Hand Versions
(A1 mini & A1 compatible)
A modular print-in-place katana project available in two sizes, designed for Bambu Lab A1 mini and A1 printers. Both versions feature extendable, segmented blades with a satisfying slide-out action and visible stepped sections.
The project is fully cross-compatible: if the blade length of the larger version feels too long, you can print the A1 mini blade segments and use them with the full-size handle.
One-Hand Katana â A1 mini Version (~90 cm, Extended)
A compact, agile katana optimized for A1 mini-class build volumes. When fully extended, the sword reaches approximately 90 cm and features a one-hand grip, making it ideal for fast handling and display.
Highlights
- đĄď¸ One-hand handle â sized for single-hand use.
- đ ~90 cm total length when fully extended.
- đ Extendable segmented blade - smooth slide-out motion with visible steps.
- đ¨ď¸ A1 mini-friendly - parts arranged to fit smaller build plates.
- đ§ Print-in-place design with minimal post-processing.
Two-Hand Katana - A1 Version (~110 cm, Extended)
A full-length, two-hand katana designed for larger printers such as the Bambu Lab A1. With an extended length of approximately 110 cm, this version offers a more traditional long-sword proportion and an extended grip for two-handed stances.
Highlights
- đĄď¸ Two-hand handle - long grip for proper two-handed control.
- đ ~110 cm total length when fully extended.
- đ Extendable segmented blade - smooth sliding action, stepped blade sections remain visible.
- đ¨ď¸ A1-compatible layout - optimized for larger build volumes.
- đ§ Print-in-place construction with minimal assembly.
Blade Compatibility Note
If the A1 version blade feels too long, you can print only the blade segments from the A1 mini version â they are fully compatible with the two-hand A1 handle.
This allows you to customize the swordâs final length while keeping the larger grip.
