Description

Cal Kestis "Repaired" Lightsaber - Galaxy's Edge "Scrap Metal" Compatible

Take your Jedi building experience to the next level! This lightsaber is more than just a display piece; it is a fully modular and customizable system, specifically designed to be compatible with the internal Galaxy's Edge "Savi’s Workshop" chassis (you can find the chassis 3D model in my other print profiles).

The design is optimized for multi-color printing, allowing you to achieve a professional-grade look straight from the build plate without complex painting. It can also be printed in a single color if you prefer to hand-paint and weather it yourself.

🛠️ Key Features

  • Full Compatibility: Designed to slide and screw perfectly onto the original Disney Galaxy's Edge core.
  • Authentic Design: Inspired by Cal Kestis’ repaired saber from Jedi: Survivor.
  • Modular System: Includes several interchangeable parts (Emitter, Sleeves, Switch, Pommel, End Cap). Create your own unique configuration!
  • AMS Ready: Parts are pre-separated so you can print each component in your desired filament (Metallic Silver, Matte Black, Copper, etc.) using your AMS.
  • Simple Assembly: The structure follows the "build-your-own" logic of the Savi's Workshop experience.

🏗️ Assembly Instructions

  1. Printing: I recommend a 0.16mm layer height to ensure threads and fine details are crisp and functional.
  2. Dry Fit: Test all parts on the internal chassis to ensure a smooth fit before final assembly.
  3. Gluing: Some aesthetic details or specific components require a small amount of Super Glue for a permanent hold and extra durability during handling.
  4. Customization: Thanks to the modular design, you can print different "Sleeves" (grips) and swap them out to match your style. Check my profile for more compatible components!

🖨️ Recommended Print Settings

  • Materials: PLA Silk (for that metallic finish) or PETG (for better durability or if you plan to hand-paint).
  • Supports: Only required for the Emitter or significant overhangs (Tree/Organic supports highly recommended).
  • Infill: 15-20% (Gyroid) for an ideal balance between weight and strength.

Note for Makers: If you like this project, please upload your "Makes" and show off your color combinations! May the Force be with you.
