The Eminence in Shadow - Cid Kagenou
Step into the darkness… casually.
This FDM-ready 3D model depicts Cid Kagenou, the self-proclaimed background character who somehow keeps tripping over world domination in The Eminence in Shadow. Cloaked, hooded, and standing with theatrical confidence, this statue perfectly captures that iconic moment where Cid is definitely not serious… while being absolutely terrifying.
The flowing coat freezes mid-motion like a dramatic monologue that no one asked for, while the confident stance and outstretched hand suggest either an unstoppable ultimate technique… or Cid improvising again. The sharp folds, layered outfit, and clean silhouette are designed with FDM printing in mind, balancing detail with printability.
Due to the dynamic pose, flowing coat edges, extended arm, and hood geometry, supports are required for FDM printing. For best results, use well-tuned supports (tree supports recommended) to preserve fine details while ensuring print stability.
This model is ideal for fans who appreciate dark fantasy, over-the-top edge, and humor so dry it could crumble into shadow dust. Whether displayed unpainted or finished with a dramatic color scheme, this figure radiates peak “accidental main character energy”.
Perfect as a display piece, collector’s print, or a silent reminder that pretending to be weak is sometimes the strongest strategy of all.
Because after all… it’s all part of the plan. Probably. 🖤
Guide
Each of my models is printed 2-3 times before releasing the profile. So if you have a problem with printing:
1. DRY THE FILAMENT
2. CHANGE THE NOZZLE TO A NEW ONE.
Recommendations Guide : In case of a problem with damage to the supports, I recommend reducing the printing speed of the supports by 30-50% and the travel speed to 400mm/s. When removing the supports, I recommend first cutting off the pieces right next to the character, but not removing them, just cutting them off. Remove the remaining larger pieces and only then detach the remaining smaller pieces. This reduces the risk of damaging delicate elements.
Please note that if you use a different filament than the recommended one, the effect may be different from my print. For example, printing in silk PLA will look better but the supports and the print itself will be more brittle and less durable.
Recommendations:
- 0.08-0.2. In the event of changing the original height, the height of the supports should be changed.
PLA+HS, PLA+, PLA, PLA silk Recommended materials are listed in order from best to good.
- Clean the plate thoroughly before printing.
Make sure the filament is dry and free from dirt. This can damage the print or weaken the support
