Description
Icelandic Yule Lads – Low-Poly Collectible Series
Gáttaþefur - 11 of 13
English name: Doorway Sniffer
This model is part of my 13-figure series inspired by the Icelandic Yule Lads, the mischievous brothers from Icelandic Christmas folklore.
Yule Lads begin their journey on the night of December 12th, arriving one by one until all thirteen have appeared. Thirteen days later, they depart in the same order.
Every character in this series is designed to capture their traditional personality, behavior, and charm.
The collection uses a clean geometric low-poly style with modular elements so no AMS is required to print these!
Every figure includes a base shaped after Iceland’s iconic stuðlaberg basalt columns, a natural feature deeply tied to the landscape and aesthetics of Iceland.
Due to the hexagon patterns on the bases, they can connect up in multiple ways and display beautifully as a complete set.

For all Lads, the base will have corresponding base connector to connect to the feet.
The torso is then glued on top of the feet.
Next the large connector slides down the torso to allow for an easy assembly of the beard and head.
Eyes need to be glued on to the head, and then the hat is glued on the head as well.
All pieces are designed to easily glue together.
For Gáttaþefur, we have additionally a doorway that fits into slots on the base.
