Description
A super simple 200mm x 200mm x 2mm dance pad square.
These are made to be glued on the top of the arrows of cheap $20 USB dance mats /dance pads that you buy online. They are a cheap, alternative solution to hard pad projects, which can be intimidating for beginners.
They have the following benefits for soft dance pads:
1. Distribute the players weight more evenly across the foam, so more consistent/registered presses.
2. Stopping the cheap painted graphite wires inside cheap dance pads from breaking after a few hours use (a very common problem)
3. Stops the top layer of think plastic scrunching together, which can also ruin the pads.
4. Gives a better sense of where your arrows are relative to the middle of the pad (due to the arrows now being hard plastic)
And for beginners/casual players, the following benefits over hard pads:
1. All you have to do is superglue the pads over the existing arrows, less than 10 minutes of effort.
2. Each pad weighs 90g, so this whole set up is very light compared to hard pads
3. Costs about $10 of material to print 4 arrows.
4. Each square is only 2mm thick, so the dance mat can be easily folded away afterwards.
Printing instructions:
Print with 100% infill,
0.28mm thickness should be fine
Takes about 2 hours to print each square.
AMS is required if you want the coloured arrows, (single coloured squares actually look quite classy and minimalist)
