Spider-Man Bookend

Description
This remix began from the original Spider-Man bookend from @DilsDT, https://makerworld.com/en/models/541624-bookends-spiderman.
I liked the silhouette, but I wanted a cleaner two-color web detail and a more premium look when sitting next to the books. I “beefed up” the thickness and split and rotated the geometry and rebuilt it as a two piece print with two-color print for the mask. The outer black frame prints together with the red inner web layer in one piece. The second piece is the L-shaped base, which slots under the books. The two pieces press together tightly and hold position under book weight without glue.
The small red layer highlights the webs and mask just enough to pop, without overpowering the book artwork. That balance matters when the bookend sits next to highly printed covers.
Differences from the original
- Reworked and rotated geometry and split into two printable pieces
- Subtle red accents instead of full fill to reduce visual competition
- A more solid frame and base resist flex, even with larger hardcovers
Print notes
- AMS required for clean two-color sections
- Black frame and red web print in a single job
- Base printed separately for strength and a clean seam
- No adhesive required if tolerances are dialed in
If you print a set, I’d like to see how they hold up with your collection.
