Hello Star Wars fans and Makers!
I'm thrilled to present my 3D-modeled bust of the legendary Chewbacca, the loyal co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon and one of the most beloved characters from the Star Wars Saga!
About the Model:
This detailed bust perfectly captures the iconic facial features and shaggy fur of our beloved Wookiee. Every strand of his fur has been modeled with great care to give him the most realistic appearance possible. The bust is designed to stand on a pedestal.
Print Details and Recommendations:
- Dimensions: Scalable!
- Material: I recommend using PLA or PETG. For a particularly noble finish, you could also opt for a filament with wood or bronze infill to achieve the look of a real sculpture.
- Layer Height: For the best details, I recommend a layer height of 0.12mm to 0.16mm.
- Infill: An infill of 10-15% is usually sufficient.
- Support Structures: Due to the detailed hair structure and the characteristic shape of the head, support structures are needed, especially under the chin and on the overhanging fur parts. It is best to use tree supports, as these are often easier to remove and leave fewer marks.
- Post-processing: After printing, you can paint the bust to make Chewie look even more lifelike, or simply leave it as is to admire the print details.
