Description

A satisfying, durable, ergonomic, and attractive toothpaste squeezer.

Update 12/23/25: I redesigned the release button tabs to be much stronger after some users reported them breaking. A couple of printing and usage tips: Let the print fully cool before trying to operate it. Break the mechanism free by turning the wheel before trying to press the release buttons. Once it can turn, it takes a fairly gentle press of the release buttons to free the wheel to slide down, which disengages the ratchet.

Roland Deschain's excellent toothpaste squeezer was one of the first things I ever printed ago. Using it every day gave me some ideas for a better version:

  • It prints 100% in place, no assembly, no supports.
  • The wheel is larger, grippier, and easier to turn than others.
  • The large size fits almost all toothpaste tubes.
  • It's easy to unload, thanks to a built-in mechanism to disengage the ratchet.
  • It prints and works great with all the PLA varieties I've tried.

Between the smooth ratchet clicks, springy disengage buttons, and spinning wheel, this makes a great fidget too. I can't stop playing with all my prototypes. 😁
