Sliding Door Security Rod Holder

I made this because my small children kept taking the rod out of the bottom of the sliding door and hitting thing or others with it. It stores the rod (not included) in a horizontal or vertical position. I figured I'd upload it to help others with kids or pets. 

This is made to fit a 3/8 rod. You can find wooden dowls at any hardware store and cut them to length.  (The store may even cut them for you if you know the measurements ahead of time. 

If you mount at the top, bet sure to test that you have enough room to get the rod in and out before securing with screws or double-sided tape.
