Description

Reolink Argus PT Ultra mounting bracket for a 75mm x 75mm post. My house is on stilts due it being in a flooding zone + I am currently renting so I needed a renter friendly option for mounting a security camera that I predominantly use to monitor my dog when I am not at home. Corner bracket allows me to see the entire back and side yard where the dog has access to and the hood provides light protection against rain and hail that is frequent in my area.

For the post clamp and connection of clamp to beam you will need 8 x M5 X 30mm bolts + 8 x M5 nuts
For the mounting the argus standard bracket to the beam you will need M4 bolt I used a 35 mm which is overkill but what I had on hand

For the hood you will need 2 X M3 bolts that screw into the original threaded inserts - I used a 16mm which again is lightly too long but what I had on hand, used a nut to provide correct spacing.

Overall happy with the design and strenght of clamp + beam. The holes for the nuts should be hexagonal but for some reason my version of CAD simply refuses to add the standard sizing and I could not be bothered to manually draw the hexagon. The round hole works and helps prevent overtightening so added bonus I suppose.

Printed in grey PETG HF, sanded, primed and spray painted in black for UV and humidity protection. ASA would be ideal but I did not have it on hand.

Printed with 6 walls, 30% infill and beam with its widest part on printed. At these settings it is overkill for the camera under static load but I was concerned for the high wind + hail so went with a partial I beam design to help with the bending and torsion while not needing supports. Current design has held up well through 2 hail storms and will keep posted on longevity of the PETG + Spray Paint

Not super happy with the hood design - will revisit it in the future but for now I will keep it as is and use it as a durability trial run.
