These tiny “sweet” scorpions are carefully designed to look surprisingly lifelike and adorable — but that’s only half the story. They can actually jump! Thanks to the integrated spring mechanism in the rear legs, all you need to do is gently press them down with your finger… and when you release, they launch effortlessly up to 1–2 meters through the air 🤯🚀 (see video!). 

The best jumping performance is achieved with PLA Basic, making them perfect for both display and play. Available in small and large sizes, and with optional colored eyes 👀🎨 — only a few simple color swaps needed.

After previously designing ladybugs 🐞, spiders 🕷️, frogs 🐸, grasshoppers 🦗, and cockroaches, I’m excited to expand my collection with these dynamic little scorpions.

🔧 Technology & Design Highlights
The entire scorpion body — including the tail — acts as a kinetic force reservoir, intelligently storing and releasing energy during the jump. This clever construction makes the Jumping Scorpion not only extremely robust, but also capable of impressive forward jumps despite its compact size. Interestingly, the small version jumps even farther than the large one! The one-color small version prints in just 35 minutes, with highly optimized supports that are easy to remove, making printing fast, clean, and enjoyable.
