Vecna's Triple Identity Vecna's first identity is Henry Creel—a Hawkins boy born in 1947, naturally gifted with the ability to sense powers from underground. After being discovered by Dr. Brenner, he was brought into the lab and became Experiment 001. In the show, Henry delivers the key line to Eleven: “We are the same,” implying they are mirror images of each other.
Vecna's second identity is the lab butcher. After Henry put on the inhibitor, young Eleven helped remove it, and he ended up killing all the children in the lab, with only Eleven surviving. The two erupted in a major battle, and Eleven cast him into the Upside Down.
Vecna's third identity is the Lich King. In the Upside Down, over several decades, he not only survived but also dominated that dimension, creating an army of monsters and orchestrating all invasions
