Description

Birds of Southern Africa Series

This is an ever-expanding series of bird pins based on some of my family's favourite local species. Each bird is drawn and then modeled in Fusion in such a way that the colours can be printed seperately and assembled afterwards. The pins should be available at any local haberdashery but we will model our own version that can incorporate a standard safety pin and be clipped into the base (hence the slot at the back to allow for future compatibility).

These are designed to be assembled without glue (other than the pin at this stage) but if your printer has different tolerances to ours, your feedback will be hugely helpful in refining the model.

Current and upcoming birds in this series:

And if you or your family have any favourites to request, let us know. Have fun with your filaments and experiment with matte, silk, or glossy PETG to get the effect you want.
