Connections Game – Municipalities of Tarragonès (prototype)

This piece is a prototype of an interactive educational game based on a 3D printed board that represents the map of the municipalities of the Tarragonès region. The design includes the municipal boundaries in relief and connection points associated with each municipality, intended to work on territorial recognition, local geography, and logical reasoning.

The game's operation is based on a system of electrical connections: students must correctly relate each municipality to its name, characteristic, or associated information. When the connection is correct, the circuit closes and allows the correct answer to be detected.

The board can be used in different ways:

As a simple electrical circuit (LED + battery).

Connected to a Makey Makey, converting the connections into digital inputs.

Integrated with a Micro:bit board, allowing the addition of programming, sound, lights, or visual feedback.

This project is especially designed for primary and secondary education, within social sciences, environmental studies, STEAM, or maker culture activities.
The current design is a functional prototype, open to improvements and adaptations according to the educational needs of each center.
