Description

Meet The Poly-Elephant. The "Poly" family is growing! This little elephant brings good luck and joy to your build plate in record time.

Why you need this:

  • Lightning Fast: Despite its detailed geometry, it prints in just 24 minutes! Faster than a coffee break.
  • Modern Low-Poly Design: The faceted style catches the light beautifully, making it a stylish addition to any setup.
  • Good Luck Charm: With its trunk raised and ears open, this elephant is a classic symbol of good fortune.
  • Filament Efficient: Ultra-lightweight structure. Perfect for using up those last meters of filament left on your spool.
  • Versatile: A perfect little desktop buddy, board game token, or a last-minute gift for animal lovers.

Hi! Thanks for sharing the picture! I see you printed it at the 3cm scale. While the model is designed to be cute and small, printing it this tiny pushes the physical limits of FDM printing, especially for a standard 0.4mm nozzle. At 30mm height, the tusks become extremely thin, making them naturally fragile regardless of the settings. I’ve printed many of these myself, and I can confirm that at this specific scale, removing supports from the tusks requires a very gentle touch (I usually use flush cutters to snip them off carefully). I'm attaching a photo of one of my successful prints just to show you that with a bit of patience, it is definitely possible! To get a sturdier result without the stress, I highly recommend scaling it up slightly (e.g., to 50mm). This adds critical thickness to the tusks, making them much stronger. Thanks for trying my model!

Wow, those look fantastic! 🤩 I’m really glad the rest of the gang came out so clean. It seems the elephant is just the 'rebel' of the group! Thank you for sharing and for growing the Poly Family! Happy printing!

I was careful removing the supports which came away easily, however I lost the trunk on both prints quickly afterwards. which is a shame as a super cute design
