Retrominer is a 3D‑printed chassis inspired by the classic Macintosh design, but with a modern heart.

Inside, it fits one or two Bitaxe Gamma miners and an ESP32 display/LCD miner (NerdMiner) that shows real‑time data such as hash rate and clock.

Perfect as a desktop gadget, a learning platform, or simply a stylish way to visualize Bitcoin mining. Great for adding some flair to your desk or bookshelf and who knows, you might even find a little Bitcoin along the way. Best of all, your partner won’t complain that it looks messy. Or why not keep it at the office.

In the file there are 2 different editions, one that is just for the ESP32 Nerdminer – it is small, light, and can be placed anywhere. This is a chassis for those of us who want something neat, tidy, and fun — and maybe, in about a million years, win the Bitcoin lottery.

Then there is the big boy that can hold 2 Bitaxe Gammas, either with a front with one ESP32, and then you can't overclock to 1000%, but there is space for an 80mm fan on the back and it manages to keep the temperature down well.

If you switch to the more open front, you can put another 80mm fan then you can have a fan blowing in and one pulling out, which keeps everything really cool and then you can run the Bitaxe at full speed!

Also a very good case for keeping cats and children away from your bitaxe, and it takes up very little space.

There's not a ton of room to work with inside when you're putting them in, so it can be a bit tricky. But it works! I usually use a little double-sided tape under the feet of the stand so they stay steady and secure once they are in place !

🔧 Features
✅ Space for 1–2 Bitaxe Gamma units, or use it only for the ESP32 (a smaller model is included in the files)

✅ Front‑mounted ESP32 LCD miner (NerdMiner or similar)
Can be attached with two screws or the included plugs, plus a handy tool to press them into place.

✅ Ventilation holes and cable routing optimized for cooling
Space for an 80 mm rear fan — recommended if you run two Bitaxe units. AND the more open front section has space for an internal 80 mm fan, together with an 80 mm fan on the back. This gives you very efficient cooling, and you can use this model as a protective enclosure for your Bitaxe Gamma — with no risk of cats or children knocking them over.

✅ Full access to screen rotation and button functions
(Just remove the front panel)

✅ Compatible with both left/right USB‑C orientations, depending on how you want the ESP32 cable to run
(Can be changed from the screen — press the ESP32 Boot button twice)

✅ You can adjust the Z‑axis in Bambu Lab to give the chassis more internal space, or make it smaller/larger.
(Press S in the slicer, uncheck Uniform Scaling, and change only the “Z” value to the millimeters you want.)

There are two models included:

BIG BACK for Bitaxe — can be scaled in Z and still fits the BIG FRONT

SMALL BACK for the smaller model — fits only the SMALL FRONT

White parts in the file are for the ESP32 screen/NerdMiner only.
Brown parts are for up to two Bitaxe Gamma 601 units.

Everything is included in the file

A bit of glue may be needed for The floppy disk cover.

I use a bit of double‑sided tape on the base stand to keep the Bitaxe units steady inside the chassis, but it’s optional.

Good luck with your mining and with building your own little Retrominer — and if you ever find a Bitcoin block, think of me.

Please give me your boost (it's free) It helps me a lot! It takes a lot of time and material to make these models, it usually takes 5 prototypes before the file is ready so you can download it and get a finished working model . Thanks <3
