Description
Needed something more low profile than my 20mm thick noctua but also wanted silent operation and decent cooling. This fan is overkill for this application, and its not really that much thinner (40mm) but it does the job. My previous setup was 55mm tall so anything was an improvement. Plus I didnt have any other thinner noctua fans around.
Should just be a friction fit onto the heatsink. You may have to scale the model for exact fitment, farthest I would go would be +/- 1%.
I also have some thermal imaging for performance claims!
With no airflow and heatsink attached we see ~52C:
With the fan moving air we see ~35C:
