Description

Double Sized (T1) + Modular - Ammo Box — Built with BoxLoc

Building on the BoxLoc system, this modular version is designed to store 100+ rounds of 9mm, 10mm, .22 LR, .380, .40, and .45 ammunition in a clean, organized format. The design features smooth, rounded edges for comfort, a secure sliding hinge, and a crisp latch with an integrated finger lip for easy operation.

This double-sized Ammo Box is compatible with a variety of current and new larger removable inserts but is specifically limited to shorter-length ammunition only. At this time, it is designed exclusively for 9mm, 10mm, .22 LR, .380, .40, and .45 cartridges. The system is fully modular, allowing inserts to be mixed and matched within the same box—such as pairing a 50-round 9mm insert with a 120-round .22 LR insert, or combining 9mm and .45 inserts—giving you the flexibility to tailor each box to your specific needs.

The inserts fit snugly inside the box yet can be easily lifted out for loading, cleaning, storage, or transport. In addition to the inserts, lids and latches are also interchangeable, allowing you to swap components or customize your setup as desired. As with all BoxLoc designs, assembly is completely hardware-free, requiring no tools, screws, or glue.

Print Profiles:

  •  Due to the modularity of this model, I have added a handful of various print profile options.  I will continue add/remove/adjust them as this model evolves.

More ammo boxes and inserts are planned.  Please feel free to reach out to me directly on custom requests so I can better plan and prioritize for future releases.

Highlights – Double Edition

  • Holds 100+ rounds of various sized ammunition (currently 9mm, 10mm, 22LR, 380, 40, & 45)
  • Compatible with a single 100+ round tray insert or two or more original 50+ round inserts
  • Mix-and-match insert support — combine different calibers in the same box (ex., 9mm + .22 LR or 9mm + .45)
  • Interchangeable lids and latches for customization, replacement, or future upgrades
  • Removable inserts for easy loading and organization
  • Ammo size labels on the legs of the tray inserts for quick identification
  • Rounded edges for comfort and a clean, finished look
  • Refined rear hinge system for smooth, secure lid movement
  • Crisp latches with integrated finger lips for easy opening
  • Stands on all sides for convenient storage and transport
  • Hardware-free assembly — no tools, screws, or glue required
  • Compact and durable — ideal for range use or long-term storage
  • Built on the BoxLoc platform for a consistent look and modular compatibility with future boxes

Fun Bonus:
Additionally, you can fit up to 2 of the factory CCI Blazer 9mm 50-round plastic trays near perfectly! So, if you’d rather skip printing my custom round insert for the 9mm, you can simply drop up to 2 of those trays right into this box. To remove it, just use a flat tool to gently lift the plastic tray up and out.

Assembly Instructions

  1. Join the lid and base
    • Align the lid’s hinge tabs with the grooves on the bottom of the base.
    • Gently slide the lid upward into the hinge slots.
    • When you feel resistance, lightly wiggle the hinge along the pivot joint as you continue sliding upward to help it seat properly.
    • Double sized edition- Because it includes an additional hinge set, you may need to work each hinge section individually, guiding them upward one at a time, a little at a time, to prevent binding or potential breakage.
    • Continue until the lid clicks securely into place and pivots smoothly.
  2. Attach the front latches
    • Position the latch so the rounded side inserts into the lid at a slight angle.
    • Lightly squeeze the top of each latch to help them pop into place.
    • Make sure the flat side faces outward, so the finger lip curves toward the box.
    • While the latches will technically fit either way, this orientation provides the best comfort and clearance when opening or closing.
  3. Ammo Tray Installation
    • Place the insert tray into the box and press firmly down on all four corners to lock the legs into place. You’ll know it’s fully seated when the top surface sits flush all the way around.
  4. Ammo Tray Removal
    • Remove one round from a corner, then insert the end of a pencil (or similar tool) into the empty hole to gently pry the tray upward at an angle. Once it starts to lift, you can continue with the pencil or grab the exposed edges to fully remove the tray from the box.
