Show original

This rain cover for the Eufy S340 camera is a targeted advancement of the existing MakerWorld model.

The original design has a slot between the screws through which rainwater can directly enter the mounting area.
This model completely solves the problem: The screws rest directly on the edge of the opening and seal the area cleanly, so that no water can enter through screw slots anymore.

In addition, several minor adjustments were made to the model to fix existing design and fit errors. These changes affect details and have no impact on the appearance or function, but improve accuracy of fit, stability, and printability.

The design is functionally based on commercially available rain covers, but offers the advantage of being free, customizable, and self-printable.

Advantages

  • ✔ No slot → significantly better sealing
  • ✔ Fixes minor design flaws
  • ✔ Protection against rain, splash water, and weather
  • ✔ Perfect fit for Eufy S340
  • ✔ Easy installation with original screws
  • ✔ Suitable for permanent outdoor installation

Why print in black?

Black material is explicitly recommended as it does not impair the camera's image quality.
When infrarot night vision is activated, bright or reflective surfaces can lead to stray light or reflections. Black reduces these effects and ensures clearer night shots without glare.

Recommended materials:

  • PETG – weatherproof and easy to print
  • ABS – particularly UV and weather resistant

🔩 Brief assembly instructions

  1. Place rain cover on top of the Eufy S340
  2. Thread original screws through the designated openings
  3. Tighten screws evenly
  4. Check fit – the rain cover now lies flush and waterproof

This printed very well in ABS for my Eufy Solocam E42. I had to scale the model up a bit (103%) to fit the E42, and the corners of the model don't quite match the E42 but it's close enough. I used HIPS filament as the support interface, and the supports pretty much fell off after cooling down. The supported areas printed perfectly and they're so good, it was hard to photograph. I printed this in white, and plan to paint the underside flat black to minimize reflections. Thanks for the model!

Great print - came out a bit wonky in parts and also there needs to be an indent for the mounting location (my first print I just made one with my Dremel, but decided to be smarter on my second print and made a 41mm diameter negative cylinder that cut the area by about half of the width).
