This 3D model is a casting mold designed for preparing small test specimens for Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) using casting resins.
The mold produces rectangular specimens with dimensions 2 × 5 × 30 mm, which are suitable for DMA testing in tensile mode. It features integrated opening holes that allow easy separation of the mold halves and safe removal of the cast samples.
For improved sealing during casting, the mold was secured with clips and treated with a release agent (separator) to ensure proper demolding and surface quality.
The mold has been successfully tested in practice. Specimens cast from polyurethane resin and unsaturated polyester resin were produced using this mold and subsequently measured on a Mettler Toledo DMA 1 instrument in tension mode.
