Jack and Elwood Blues are two brothers who seem to have stepped out of a closet full of black suits, sunglasses, and improbable missions sent directly from heaven, possibly with police sirens in the background

Jack is the volcano: verbose, enthusiastic, absolutely convinced that every idea is brilliant, even when it involves smashing storefronts, evading half of Chicago, and angering vengeful nuns

Elwood, on the other hand, is the ice: he talks little, drives too fast, maintains an unperturbed expression even as the world explodes around them, and considers it normal to sleep in a dilapidated building without electricity because "it has a lot of space"

Together they function like a perfectly oiled chaos machine

Always dressed the same, they look like two secret agents of rhythm and blues, but with a special talent for attracting every possible form of trouble

They are pursued by the police, by a girlfriend armed with a grenade launcher, by vengeful country bands, and by physical laws that cease to function as soon as Elwood steps on the accelerator

Yet they advance serenely, convinced they are in the right, because when you are "on a mission from God", you can even afford to demolish half a state

The funniest thing is that, beneath that facade of stone men and tight ties, Jack and Elwood are two pure souls, guided by an boundless love for music and an almost childlike innocence

They seek neither fame nor money, only to save the orphanage and play some good, sacred blues

They are brothers in suit, in groove, and in disaster, and they achieve the very rare feat of making a hundred-police-car chase seem like a natural consequence of wanting to do the right thing... at maximum volume
