Rathalos (originally named Rathalos), is the iconic wyvern monster in Capcom's single-player game "Monster Hunter" series. It first appeared as the cover monster in the inaugural title (2004) and is known as the "Rathalos couple" with Rathian, appearing in all entries in the series. Its Japanese name "リオレウス" originated from player community naming conventions, and its Chinese nickname "雄火龙" was also established by players
As a male wyvern, Rathalos is covered in dark red scales, specializes in high-altitude flight and fire attacks, and is known as the "King of the Skies"
