2) Short Description
Replacement slide switch for the forward/reverse selection on the FERM Li-Ion screwdriver CDM1188. Version v4 with Snap-Fit-Clip, which locks onto the transverse bar in the housing so that the part really holds.
3) Description (long)
Problem: The original direction slider (forward/reverse) tends to break off.
Solution: This 3D-printed replacement is designed not only to fit visually but also to firmly snap into place via a clip mechanism on the transverse bar in the housing. This ensures the slider remains securely guided and can be operated smoothly in both directions.
Compatibility
- FERM Li-Ion Screwdriver Art. No. CDM1188 (Directional Switch / Forward-Reverse Slider)
- Note: Tolerances may vary minimally depending on the production batch.
Features
- Snap-Fit-Clip for the internal transverse bar (secure hold)
- Print-optimized for FDM
- Functional part: robustly designed (PETG recommended)
Disclaimer
Not an original part, no connection to FERM. Use at your own risk. Before assembly, remove the battery and safely check functionality.
4) Print Settings (recommended)

Supports: ON (min. „Touching build plate“)
- Optional: Place supports only in the area of the clip lips (if you „paint“ cleanly)

5) Post-Processing / Tuning
If the clip…
- is too tight: In Bambu Studio XY compensation / Horizontal Expansion +0.10 to +0.20 mm or deburr minimally.
- is too loose: −0.10 mm or scale minimally (100.5–101%).
6) Assembly (short & clear)
- Insert the slider from the outside, aligning it so that the clip hits the inner transverse bar.
- Carefully press until it clicks into place.
- Switch left/right multiple times and check: smooth travel, no jamming, no „intermediate state“.
- Only then use normally again.
