Description
Need robustness? This 40x40mm profile (Type 4040) is the "big sister" version of the 2020 standard. Wider and more rigid, it features an 8mm slot, compatible with standard M6 or M8 screws (T-nuts).
It's the ideal part for structures requiring more solidity: workbenches, large printer frames, CNC structures, or workshop furniture.
📏 100% Configurable Length in Bambu Studio: The provided file is a basic 100mm module, but you can print any length without CAD software!
- Open the file in Bambu Studio.
- Select the object and click the Scale tool (Shortcut: S).
- Uncheck the "Uniform Scale" box.
- Modify the Z (height) value as needed (e.g., 200mm, 50mm, 180mm...). The profile will retain its perfect 40x40mm cross-section; only the length will change!
⚙️ Recommended Print Settings:
- Strength: Given the size, I recommend 4 or 5 walls so that the slots withstand screw tightening.
- Infill: 25% to 40% (Gyroid or Honeycomb pattern).
- Material: PLA+ (prototyping) or PETG/ASA (functional parts).
- Orientation: Print vertically (no supports needed)
