Fluted Column Table Lamp

Hello everyone!

Sometimes you need a light that blends into the background, and sometimes you need a centrepiece. Standing at an impressive 420mm tall, this new design is definitely the latter.

I’m excited to introduce The Fluted Column Table Lamp.

A Statement Piece for Your Home

Introduction

While this lamp utilises the same connection system as my Mod3 ecosystem, I designed this specific configuration as a standalone statement piece. The continuous vertical fluting running from the dark base up through the white diffuser creates a sleek, unified silhouette that looks fantastic on a sideboard or bedside table.

Hardware Compatibility

This lamp is designed to be versatile with your hardware. It fits:

• Bambu Lab LED Lamp Kit (001) (for a corded, permanent setup).
• Bambu Lab Wireless LED Puck Light (for a portable, cable-free option).

Printing & Materials

The example in the photos creates a striking high-contrast look:

• The Base: Printed in Bambu Matte Black PLA. The matte finish absorbs light, making the fluted texture look crisp and architectural.
• The Diffuser: Printed in Bambu White PLA Tough. This material diffuses the light beautifully for a soft, warm glow.

Critical Printing Instructions: The Diffuser

To get the perfect finish on the large shade, I have separated the print profiles.

• Spiral Vase Mode: The diffuser is designed to be printed in Spiral Vase Mode. This creates a seamless, continuous outer shell with no Z-seam.
• Layer Height (Important): Please keep the layer height at 0.12mm for the diffuser. Because the fluted shape creates some steep overhangs near the bottom, this finer layer height is essential to ensure the walls print cleanly.
• Total Print Time: Expect a total print time of around 12 hours for the complete assembly.

Conclusion

I love how substantial this lamp feels when assembled. It’s a tall, elegant print that pushes the capabilities of vase mode to create something that looks like a high-end store-bought fixture.
