Description

Boost Me (for free)

Feel free to leave a boost if you enjoyed the Gift Wrapping Bauble!

Let me guess: you’ve found the perfect small gift for a loved one, whether for Christmas or a birthday, but you’re missing wrapping paper or a nice way to present it? Let Welding Jar help you out with the Gift Wrapping Bauble!

This reusable ornament is a chic way to package small gifts while providing a delightful unboxing experience. No AMS needed! It’s print-in-place and only needs a bit of super glue.

You can either fill it to the brim:

Or use it to present your item tastefully:
(Pro tip: use a small piece of tape to secure the item on the pedestal.)

It can also double as a pedestal, transform into a cozy little lampshade for an LED tealight, or be used as a classic Christmas tree ornament, adding a warm and festive glow wherever it’s displayed!

Details

There are two versions of the Gift Wrapping Bauble:

  • A standard version using hexagonal dowels with a friction fit
(Note: the dowels may require a bit of force to loosen after printing)

  • A magnetic version for a sturdier, more tactile experience
    (requires 10 × 6×3 mm magnets)

Assembly

After printing all parts, apply a small amount of super glue to attach the wrapping band pieces and the magnets, being careful to note their orientation, into the designated cavities on each side piece.

(Note: As mentioned in the details, the dowels for the standard version may require a bit of force to loosen after printing, as they can be well stuck together. You can try to pry them apart by wedging something into the slit. Be careful and do not injure yourself!)

Then screw in the ribbon, and you’re done!
Congratulations on making your very own Gift Wrapping Bauble.
