Description

This model is designed to replace the commonly broken top screen bumpers found on older Nintendo 3DS units.
After carefully removing the damaged original bumper, simply insert the 3D-printed replacement into place.
This part was printed in PLA.

It helps prevent straight-line scratches on the surface of the upper screen caused by the raised edges of the lower screen bezel, and also prevents marks left by the Circle Pad and buttons pressing against the screen.
Because the height of the original factory bumper is not sufficient to fully prevent these issues, this replacement has been designed to be slightly taller.
Other filament types such as TPU or PETG have not been tested.

Removal note:
Heavily hardened and deteriorated original rubber bumpers can usually be scraped out easily using a small flathead screwdriver.
Any remaining sticky residue can be cleaned off with isopropyl alcohol.
