Giant Walnut Container

I created my version of the Giant Walnut Container, inspired by a model I saw online. That project had a screw closure, which was impractical to use and, above all, had the flaw that the two parts did not fit perfectly once tightened.

For this reason, I decided to create a variant with a magnetic closure: faster to open and close, and with a precise fit between the two halves. I used 8 neodymium magnets measuring 15 x 2 mm, which ensure a solid hold that is also easy to manage.

The container was printed in PLA Wood, with 10% infill and 3 walls, a configuration that ensures lightness but also robustness. Thanks to the material and finish, the object has a natural and warm appearance, very similar to real wood.

Finally, the container can be used as a nut holder — walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts — perfect for bringing to the table during the Christmas holidays.
