Window Weep Hole Cover / Sash Stop Replacement

This is a replacement clip for PGT Industries windows (commonly found in Florida). This part functions as a weep hole cover or sash stop.

The original factory parts often become brittle and snap due to UV exposure. 

My wife said “hey, can you print something to fix this opening?” so I did. Here's what it is. It's the second thing i've made myself. It fits our house and the hole there, you may need to adjust the size to fit yours if its a little different. 

Improvements:

• Reinforced Design: Unlike the original hollow part, this model fills in the top bridge to make it solid and much more durable.
• Dimensions: ~31.5mm x 12.6mm with snap-fit legs.

Print Settings

• Supports: No (Prints cleanly without supports).
• Material: PETG or ASA is required.
  • Warning: Do NOT use PLA. Since this part sits in a window track exposed to direct sunlight and heat, PLA will warp and fail within days.
• Orientation: Print standing on its long side for maximum strength.
  • Note: This orientation ensures the layer lines run along the length of the legs, preventing them from snapping off during installation.
• Walls/Infill: 4 Wall Loops (or 100% Infill) to ensure the clips are solid.
