Jaeger Guardian - Add-on Battleship: Kaiju Defense

🌊 The Jaeger is Ready to Drop!

This is a custom Jaeger miniature inspired by the legendary Gipsy Danger from Pacific Rim. I designed this model specifically as an unofficial add-on/token for the amazing board game Battleship: Kaiju Defense.

It fits perfectly with the aesthetic of the game and stands ready to defend your fleet against the Kaiju threat!

To make this model more than just a cosmetic upgrade, I created a custom game mode, balanced for the game rules. You can use these stats to play with the Jaeger:

 📄 Unit: “Jaeger Guardian”

• Unit Type: Super Heavy Defender
• Deployment Cost: Replaces 2 Standard Ships.

1. Setup

• Deployment: At the start of the game, remove 2 Ships from the board. Place the Jaeger Guardian and the 1 remaining Ship.
• Health Points (HP): The Titan Guardian has 8 HP (equivalent to the sum of the two ships it replaced).
• Dice: The Defender player continues to roll 3 Ship Dice per turn, but they are assigned as follows:
  • 1 Dice for the remaining Ship.
  • 2 Dice for the Jaeger Guardian (Representing its dual weapon systems).

2. Special Abilities

• 🛡️ Reinforced Plating (Shield): Unlike standard ships, the Jaeger's armor is reactive. If the Jaeger rolls a "Shield", it not only negates a "Critical" or "Devastating" attack but also reflects 1 Damage back to the Kaiju.
• 🔥 Nuclear Core (Last Stand): If the Jaeger's HP reaches 0, the core goes into meltdown. Before removing the miniature, roll 1 die. If you roll any damage symbol (Direct Hit or Strong Blow), the Jaeger explodes and deals 3 Unavoidable Damage to the Kaiju.
• 🔧 Field Repairs (Regeneration): The Jaeger is complex. The "Regeneration" symbol heals 1 HP, but it cannot be healed if it is at 2 HP or less (Critical System Failure).

3. Interaction with the Kaiju

• Massive Target: When the Kaiju rolls a "Devastating" attack (normally hitting 3 targets) and there are only the Jaeger and 1 Ship left: The Ship takes 1 damage, and the Jaeger absorbs the other 2 hits (taking 2 damage total).

🖨️ Printing Tips

• Supports: Tree supports are recommended for the arms and overhangs (Organic supports work great).
• Layer Height: 0.08mm or 0.16mm for best details.
• Infill: 10% is enough for durability.
• Material: PLA is fine.
