Description
A pair of vices for tuning and waxing. Works great for both snowboards and skis.
- 3 positions for board placement: horizontal, vertical and 30 degree;
- Elastic pads for board protection and added grip;
- Utility surfaces for clamping if additional holding power is needed;
Notes:
- all the parts with “pad” in their name, are paddings to protect the board or the clamping surface, so please print with a flexible material like TPU.
- The 2 top pads are strongly recommended as they sit between the vice body and the board as a protection in the most used horizontal board placement.
- All the other pads are for less used mounting positions, so only print as needed.
- The main body and and the clamping parts are to be printed with a rigid material. Basic PLA is usually good enough with around 15-20% infill and ≥3 wall layers.
- After printing, glue the pads onto the main body according to the provided picture.
Hardware needed:
- For clamping the vise to a table:
- 5/16 acorn nut;
- 5/16 hex nut;
- 5/16 carriage bolt (with a square section under the head).
- Note: the clamp-bolt-cap and clamp-wrench are designed for 5/16 imperial bolts and nuts, but metric M8 should also work as they are very close in size (though I have not tested yet)
- Optionally, for clamping the board to the vise in a vertical position:
- M6 screw with 25-30mm in length
- M6 hex nut
