12v KickAss Mini Control Box Mount

This little bracket and mount was born out of frustration. My 12v mini Kickass power box used to float around the tent, sliding off edges and getting kicked in the night. With a sidefold trailer, running full-time power inside isn’t simple, so I needed a way to keep things tidy without losing access.

Now the control box tucks neatly under the bed, out of the way but still right where I need it. It keeps the tent organized, provides a reliable source of power, and packs away easily when it’s time to move on.

I’ve printed mine in PETG for a bit of flex and extra heat resistance, which makes sense for camping conditions. And honestly, if your tent gets hotter than 65 degrees, you’ve got bigger problems than filament choice.

It’s a simple fix, but one that makes a big difference. If you’ve ever had the same problem—gear sliding around, power boxes never staying put—this bracket might be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

Follow the photos for the install instructions. I’ve kept the tolerances tight on purpose, because once it’s all clipped together it pretty much becomes a single solid unit. That way it can go straight into the toolbox, ready for the next trip without any fuss. I’d suggest printing the test piece first to make sure everything lines up, and a touch of WD40 or oil helps it slide into place nicely. Beyond that, it’s simple, sturdy, and ready to make camping just a little easier. Happy camping.
