Description

My original shower curtain rod mount broke, so I designed a 3d printed version.

The original mount snapped. The pressure against tiled walls eventually cracked it. This version replaces that by using controlled adjustment rather than forcing the rod into place.

One side stays fixed while the other uses a hand-twisted screw to slowly push the mount outward. TPU pads sit between both wall contact points to increase friction and reduce stress on the plastic and the tile. This fits a max diameter of 25.6mm.

No drilling, no adhesives — just controlled pressure and friction.

Notes

  • Designed for smooth tile walls
  • TPU pads are required for proper grip
  • Tighten by hand only
  • Best for light to medium shower curtains

Printing

  • Main parts: PLA or PETG - I use PETG myself but have tested pla without any issues.
  • Friction pads: TPU
