MP5 Magazine Assembly / Disassembly Tool

This is a tool to assist in the assembly and disassembly of Mp5 and clone magazines.  I have some that proved extremely difficult to reassemble after disassembly for cleaning, and I wound up making this tool to assist me.  You can turn it 90 degrees and use the central post to depress the spring to make it easier to disassemble the mag.  When ready to reassemble, you can press the bottom plate into place and it will depress the tabs enough to allow the magazine body to slide over them. You can then use the second piece to push it into place until the tabs snap in.

I found this tool made it much easier than doing it by hand.  I recommend printing with very high infill and printing with the central post parallel to the bed, even though it requires supports.  If you print it flat the post will likely sheer off.

I'm sure there is room for improvements but this simple design was enough to solve my need, and maybe it will save you some headache as well.
